Hello all!
I currently write from Boulder, CO, the most bike friendly place in the country. We've been here for probably 20 minutes and seen, no joke, 100 cyclists. Last night we camped at Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park and climbed Estes Cone this morning, an 11,006 foot peak. And man it was beautiful. I haven't uploaded the pictures yet but when I do, you shall have eye candy. So cold though!
So, what have we been up to the last few days??? Night before last we were in Medicine Creek State Recreation Area in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, about an hour from the small town of Bartley. And the night before, our first stop, in Weston, MS, a tiny town on the Missouri river. We've had good travels so far, with no hitches or mishaps. We've gone around 1,600 miles and are averaging 36ish miles per gallon on gas, a fine average indeed! Interstates got old after Indiana and Illinois, so we've been sticking to country highways, where we've been one of a very few cars for hundreds of miles. We've been feasting on rice and beans, PB and J sandwiches, chips, apples, noodles, etc, all of this cooked on our new camping stove, special thanks to MSR for making the SuperFly.....
That brings us to the next stop: Provo, Utah, where one of Eagle's friends lives. I reckon we'll spend the night there tomorrow, and perhaps Monday. Then tentatively our last stops should be Yosemite, the Sierras, and then San Diego, and the terminus, Orick, Ca, in the heart of Redwood National and State Parks. That's all I've got folks. all is well. I miss you and love you all. I shall write more and post pictures as well the next time we get around an internet connection, which could be a while. Hope everyone is doing well.
Ahoy!

I'm so jealous and homesick for you and Eagle. Tell Eagle to fly to NY instead of going home. =(
I love you. Safe journeys.
